Orange Slices

There are several events leading to the Orange County Music Awards at the Grove of Anaheim on March 29. Among this weekend's events are the Best Acoustic Artist Finals at Canyon Amphitheater in Featherly Regional Park in Yorba Linda from noon to 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

The list of performers is impressive, with artists such as Michael Ubaldini, Yvonne Perea, Mark Wood, Sideswipe and Ashley Bee set to compete in three categories (Best Male, Best Female, Best Group).

Admission is $5 (kids 12 and under get in free). Proceeds benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County.

Orange County-based Saucy Jack will be featured on the KLOS/95.5 FM's "Local Licks" program airing at 11 p.m. Sunday. Program producer Bill Hartew said songs from the full-length "Mime is Money" and EP "Strikes Again" will be featured on the show.
