Meloney Collins has been a
professional actor, singer, and dancer for well over a decade. As a singer she
has performed her unique jazz cabaret STANDARD MEL with her jazz quintet to
sold out audiences. As an Actor, her extensive stage work has taken her to many
prestigious theaters across the country from The Pasadena Playhouse (RAY
CHARLES LIVE) to the The Goodman Theatre (PURLIE) and Internationally to
Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Cyprus Greece.
As a
Voice Over artist Meloney can be heard on numerous regional and
national commercial voice spots, jingles, and popular television shows
ie; THE VAMPIRE DIARIES
As a back up singer
she has lent her vocal talents to popular shows such as AMERICA'S GOT
TALENT-NBC and performed as a Co-star on HANNAH MONTANA!
Meloney recently
completed a successful run of BACK TO BACHARACH AND DAVID- directed by
TV and Film star, Kathy Najimi. During this experience, she got to
fulfill a life long dream of performing for one of her idols, Burt
Bacharach in a musical tribute especially for the legend himself.
Previously, Meloney was recently chosen to be the master of Ceremonies
and share the stage with another of her idols, Dame Julie Andrews, for
a Disney national press event.
Meloney has always possessed a love as well as a talent for performing
jazz music. Her ease in front of a band catapulted her into singing
lead for many Big band's including Bennie Maupin's Ikeda Kings
Orchestra and the illustrious Side Street Strutters!
Standard Mel! is her own jazz quintet dedicated to paying tribute to
the glorious standards of the past (Ella Fitzgerald, Nancy Wilson)
while bringing a unique jazz flair to contemporary music of today.
