The Mark Wood Mid-August 2008 Update

Hello Everyone!

The Parrot Head Band had an incredible time at the 2008 OC Fair and it was great to see all of you at the show! It was a great and on Thursday the 31st, we had well over 1,200 people there AND it only sat 500. All of the players in Mark Wood and the Parrot Head Band wanted me to say thanks for making all of our shows simply incredible!

I would also like to thank my longtime friend Maria Hall-Brown from KOCE, our LA/OC PBS affiliate for coming out and doing a location interview spot, taping all of the show and then airing some live footage during her broadcast the next day, Thanks Maria!

Mark Wood and the Parrot Head Band will have our final summer performance at Gallup Park in Nellie Gail Ranch so come on down, bring some wine and a picnic basket and we’ll see you there from 7-9PM! By the way, get there early for a good spot on the grass … don’t be afraid to sit up close. I will be at The Blue Beet this Wednesday, August, 20th and you are all invited. Please come on down, have some great food, cocktails and listen to some LIVE music. The downbeat is 8:00PM, I will see you there! As always there will be plenty of friends and some great players sitting in!

One last thing, if you are a Bruce Springsteen fan and live in the Irvine area, one of our best MWE, Inc. bands SPRINGSTEEN! The Premier Tribute to the Boss will be performing at the Woodbridge Community Park- 20 Lake Rd. Irvine, CA Concerts in the Park from 6:00PM to 7:30PM. They have played all over the country this year to big crowds and rave reviews. They really bring the feel of a real 70’s era Springsteen show. I will be there as well taking in this incredible show, so I hope to see you there.
