WestBeat
If you enjoy the sounds of great
vocal groups like The Persuasions, Manhattan Transfer, Take 6 and
Rockapella, then you must hear Westbeat!
WestBeat is a contemporary a capella
singing group comprised of some of the most talented vocalists in
Southern California
. This group's members boast a variety of entertainment industry
accomplishments from session work, voiceovers and releasing their own
albums to live performances on Broadway, in Europe and at theme parks and on cruise ships all
over the world!
WestBeat
offers two different configurations... one is
a 6-part group that is made up of 3 men and 3 women, with one of the men
covering mainly vocal percussion. The second
does more elaborate, textural
arrangements in up to 10-part harmony! This
10-20 member
group is truly incredible and offers something a bit grander
in scale.
The
WestBeat repertoire consists of songs dating back to the 1930s and up to
today's Top 40; everything from Pop, Rock, Religious/Gospel, Jazz
Standards, Patriotic, Classical and Show Tunes. This wide variety
of music and styles is sure to please all in attendance, from the oldest to the youngest. Specific songs
(requested in advance) can be arranged and learned for an additional fee.
The look of the group is also
something that appeals to a broad range of audiences; it's about
diversity, exhibiting distinct ethnicities and backgrounds. The
attire is usually trendy and casual, unless otherwise requested, in
which case they can accommodate with either semi-formal cocktail attire or tuxedos and
gowns. WestBeat can be the
ideal entertainment for any occasion. Whether it's an intimate affair or
a large corporate event, this group will leave a lasting
impression.
