Having begun performing professionally at the age of eleven, Mark has practically grown up the on stage. With a repertoire of  over 2000 songs, he easily covers the range of many popular music styles including Pop, Country, Rock and Standards. Mark was recently featured in a thirty minute TV special on PBS, performing songs from his two new CDs entitled, The Lessons of Life and Now That You’re Gone.

Mark’s guitar playing has been compared with the virtuosity of Leo Kotke and his piano adds a unique dimension to his performance that is reminiscent of early Elton John and Billy Joel, with the harmonica! With a four octave vocal range, and an incredible gift for recreating a variety of vocal and music styles, Mark entertains as well as amazes his audiences.

Mark has been featured as the opening act for many recording artists including Jimmy Buffett, Mac MacAnally, Don McLean, Kenny Rankin, Randy Meisner of the Eagles, Robbie Kreiger of the Doors, Bruce Hornsby and the Range and platinum-selling country star Sammy Kershaw, to a crowd of nearly 10,000 fans. 

Recently Mark Wood and the Parrot Head Band was the pre-show favorite at Jimmy Buffett’s latest Irvine Meadows concert in Irvine, California. Mark has also headlined at the world famous Roxy, the Whisky and the Coach House to sellout crowds, performing his original songs to rave reviews...
